At the AGM, the full membership of the MAA, which currently stands at 245 companies, will have the opportunity to elect three representatives to join the MAA Board.

Election of Member Organisation Representatives to the Board of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance

The Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance are available here

If you wish to stand for election your organisation must be a full member of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance.  The current list of full and associate members can be viewed here.

All applications will be scrutinised for eligibility.

If you wish to vote in the election you must be, or be a nominated proxy of, your organisation’s MAA membership representative (i.e. the person who made and renews your company’s membership application). Please contact the MAA office, info@midlandsaerospace.org.uk, tel: 024 7643 0250, if you are not sure who your company’s representative is.

Voting forms (including proxy voting forms) together with candidate applications will be sent to each MAA member’s official representative three weeks prior to the AGM. All full MAA members are entitled to one vote, except for permanent Board members: Aero Engine Controls, Goodrich Actuation Systems, Meggitt, Moog and Rolls-Royce.

Each MAA member may vote for up to three candidates (no order of preference), as this is the number of vacancies to be filled each year.  According to the MAA’s Memorandum of Association, you may use one or more of your three votes to vote against a candidate.

All postal votes are to be returned, signed, by post, fax, or scanned e-mail attachment, by 5pm on the day before the AGM.

Personal votes can be cast at the MAA Members Meeting and AGM by 4:30pm at the latest.

The three company representatives with the highest total number of votes (votes for minus votes against) will be declared elected onto the MAA Board at the AGM for two-year terms (unless they have more votes cast against than for).
